Polygon Art

Learn how to use the polygon shape tool to produce a great pattern effect for your art work.

Step 1
Make a new document. Make a new layer set [ Layer > new > layer set ]

Select the polygon tool and make the number of sides 6.

Step 2
Make a polygon like below:

Step 3
Bring up the blending options and use all of the below options.

Step 4
Bring up the blending options and use all of the below options.

Step 5
Now duplicate the polygon layer so you have 5 and position the shapes to a similar pattern like below. Please keep all of the layers in the same layer set. 6 sided polygons always link into each other.

Step 6
Click the layer set's header (title) in the layers pallet. And then go to [ File > Transform > Perspective ] and transform it to your liking. And resize if you feel like it.

Step 7
Duplicate the whole first layer set.

Step 8
Set the blending mode for the new set to Linear Burn and opacity to 65%.

Step 9
Now experiment, play around and best of all enjoy what you produce!
